Ingredients:
1 leek, cleaned and sliced thin
1 tsp minced garlic
12 pieces bacon
1 bag frozen peas, defrosted
3 cups chicken stock
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
16 oz Radiatore noodles
Directions:
Cook noodles until al dente. Saute leek and garlic in 1 T vegetable oil in a medium pot. Meanwhile, cook bacon in the oven at 400 for 15 minutes, or until done. Add chicken stock to the leek and garlic when they are soft. Simmer for 8 minutes. Add peas, salt, and pepper and let cook for 5 minutes. Turn the heat off, and blend the sauce with the hand blender. Add cream, parmesan, and chopped bacon and let cook for another 5 minutes or so on medium-low. Serve over noodles, and top with chopped basil and extra parmesan.

Story:
A few years ago, Todd and I were watching a show on BYUtv about creative people. I think it was called the New Creatives, but now I can't remember. At the end of one episode about an artist who had a personal challenge to create 100 different drawings of something (again, I can't remember what his specific drawings were of), he invited all the viewers to create 100 of whatever it is they were passionate about. So Todd and I took that challenge and I decided to create 100 different recipes. And I accomplished it! This is one of those recipes. I recently remade it, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was yummier than I had remembered. I am sure I will post more recipes in the future.
