Topics at our house recently have centered around immigration, refugees, families, COVID-19, social justice, race, voting, and helping to relieve suffering. We started adding in some activities to school time to support causes that we feel strongly about. Recently we made butterflies to help show our support for the human need and right to migrate. And then the kids hung their butterflies all over one of our windows, and decorated the window with a bunch of tulle. It was like a butterfly shrine. Pretty funny. We also started making cards for a few organizations that help neighbors who are homeless, or families that have been separated due to immigration laws.
