SoupMobile is an organization we have enjoyed partnering with on several occasions to help serve neighbors who are homeless in the DFW area. This unique organization began in 2003 and their goal is to bring meals to those who are homeless with a mobile food truck. They also help to provide worship services on Sundays at their church building. And they provide a unique Christmas experience at one of Dallas' largest hotels every year for those in need. SoupMobile is also working on building another facility so they can expand their needed services.
One way that we have enjoyed helping this organization is with their "cookie project." Volunteers can donate homemade or store bought cookies that the staff will put with their lunch meals. And this time, the kids and I made uplifting notes to go with the bagged cookies. This is a great at-home activity that young kids can help with, as many organizations don't let young children come serve. They are a fabulous organization to support!
